The Soel Senses 48 is a 14.5 m solar-electric catamaran from the Dutch builder Soel Yachts — a private-leisure weekend cruiser, the smaller sister to the Senses 62, with a double cabin and ensuite in each hull for up to 8.
The numbers
Soel gives it a 10-knot cruise, an 18-knot top speed and a range of 56 nautical miles, drawn from solar-charged batteries. The motor and battery options — Soel's own EPS drives and packs of 71 or 142 kWh — appear only in third-party coverage rather than on Soel's own page, so they are left out here rather than stated as fact. It is the leisure boat of the range, distinct from Soel's commercial SoelCat and Shuttle passenger craft.
